About

I specialise in helping tech-driven and IP-heavy businesses manage their commercial risks and structure complex deals. My work spans software licensing, SaaS agreements, digital asset ownership, due diligence for acquisitions, and frameworks for data protection. I’ve advised start-ups in govtech and healthtech, UK manufacturers, education providers, financial advisers, hospitality brands, and public sector organisations. I particularly enjoy aligning legal advice with the fast-paced demands of innovation-led businesses.

Professional Experience

I began my legal career at the General Medical Council in 2019 and qualified in 2022. Since then, I’ve worked in private practice with Harrowells, Schofield Sweeney, Clarke Willmott and now, Rubric, focusing on corporate and commercial matters. I enjoy the strategic blend of legal detail and business thinking that my work requires, particularly in the context of M&A and commercial transactions involving regulated or IP-rich businesses.

Career Highlights

One of the standout transactions I’ve advised on involved the £2.2 million sale of a cleaning business. The deal was technically complex, involving intercompany and external bank loans, with a multi-layered completion structure. I’ve also co-hosted a webinar on AI and spoken at a FinTech event focused on funding and valuations, which reflects my interest in the evolving tech landscape.

Personal

Outside work, I enjoy hiking, travelling, going to supper clubs and the theatre, and attending book clubs. I’m a member of the Society for Computers and Law and actively follow developments in cloud technology. Clients often describe me as proactive, supportive and commercially minded. I take a transparent and hands-on approach, working closely with clients to ensure the law aligns with their broader business ambitions.
